New Accounts Representative
Job Description
The New Accounts Representative is responsible for establishing retirement and nonretirement accounts for the Asset Custody Services, Institutional Division and Gemisys. The representative is responsible for updating account information such as address changes, broker dealer changes and other maintenance functions, and also:
- Reviews establishment paperwork images for accuracy and establishes new accounts on the computer system if all paperwork is in good order
- Routes images to correct queue if more information needed and routes paperwork to other areas in the company
- Processes maintenance requests for client accounts on the system
Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma or the equivalent is required along with 1 years’ financial services experience. Must have basic knowledge of IRS rules and regulations for retirement plans.
Must have excellent number and word comparison skills. Typing of 40-45 wpm and 10-key skills preferred.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English via telephone, written communications and e-mail. Must have strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement problem solutions. Must be able to juggle tasks and priorities to meet changing deadlines. Must pay attention to details and maintain an organized workflow.
