Mutual Fund Trading Rep II
Job Description
The Mutual Fund Trading Representative performs tasks associated with the trading of mutual funds, and also:
- Communicates with mutual fund companies to verify trades, maintain share balances, and execute trades
- Processes new omnibus trading accounts, reconciling settlement
- Generates and reviews reports related to trading functions including FundSERV trading, electronic trading, manual trading, product restrictions, and pricing
- Scans documents related to the trading function
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent and intermediate level knowledge of the mutual fund industry and processes. Two years’ experience in the financial services industry is required. Financial industry licenses are preferred.
Typing of 40-45 wpm and 10-key skills preferred. Must be able to do math calculations with percentages and fractions. Must be able to communicate clearly verbally and in written format. Must be able to design an Excel spreadsheet and Word documents using intermediate level functions. Must be able to research and reconcile trading accounts.
Must pay attention to details and maintain an organized workflow. This position requires strong analytical skills involving complex information. Must have strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement problem solutions. Must be able to negotiate skillfully in tough situations. Must be able to build and maintain rapport with internal and external clients. Must be able to juggle tasks and priorities to meet rapidly changing deadlines.
