Mutual Funds
Attuned to the needs of investment advisors, Trust Company of America offers Net Asset Value (NAV) trading in a large selection of load and no-load mutual funds. Our list may also be expanded to accommodate an advisor wishing to trade in a fund we don’t currently offer.
Mutual fund transactions use one of two pricing structures: no transaction fee (NTF) pricing for advisors who can tolerate holding period restrictions, or traditional pricing, which features no Trust Company restrictions or holding periods beyond those imposed by the mutual fund.
(8 pt note) Mutual fund redemption fees may apply. Mutual funds are intended for long term investments. Short term trading, often referred to as timing, is prohibited.
(8 pt note) NTF funds may have other fees and expenses that apply to a continued investment and are described in the prospectus. NTF funds may be subject to short-term redemption fees assessed by the fund and Trust Company of America.
(8 pt note) For all mutual funds: Always obtain a prospectus and read it thoroughly before investing in any mutual fund. Please carefully consider the fund’s investment objectives, risks, charges, and expenses before investing. For this and other information, call the fund or your customer service representative for a prospectus. Read it carefully before you invest or send money.
Equities
Through the flexible TCAdvisor II trading platform, advisors may manage equity trades to optimize effectiveness and minimize costs.
By allowing advisors to build omnibus trades and to direct executions through any number of sources, including TCAdvisors Network or another of our institutional trading partners, TCAdvisor II helps ensure high quality, low cost transactions.
In addition, advisors enjoy online access, an intuitive platform interface, complete position data, and streamlined distribution across client accounts.
Exchange Traded Funds
Trust Company offers access to the full spectrum of exchange traded fund (ETF) choices, which may be bought and sold, much like equities, through the TCAdvisor II platform.
In addition, our trading tools allow advisors to maximize strategic moves – and reduce potential trading errors – by matching transactions with settlement cycles. Featuring pending transactions, buys, sells, distributions, and dividends, our system projects pending balances, which is especially valuable for advisors shifting client assets between ETFs and mutual funds.
Retirement Products
Trust Company offers a number of solutions for retirement-oriented accounts. The 401(k) Total Solution is a comprehensive platform that allows advisors to manage every aspect of a 401(k) or other defined contribution plan. We also offer complete administrative services for self-directed individual retirement accounts such as Traditional IRAs and Roth IRAS, as well as tools for advisor-sponsored IRAs.
Non-traditional Assets
Trust Company’s custody expertise encompasses non-traditional asset types within self-directed retirement accounts such as Traditional IRAs. These assets include holdings such as limited partnerships, deeds of trust for mortgages, and real property.
Variable Annuities
Client-owned variable annuities may be placed under the custody of Trust Company, which handles all administration of the investments, including changes of ownership, systematic and partial withdrawals, surrenders, and changes of contract information.
Advisors may change sub-account allocations within the guidelines of the annuity contract, or request our assistance in making such adjustments.
As part of our periodic consolidated statements, we include data such as the contract value and sub-account positions, values, and percentages, along with the TCAdvisor Annuity Report. |
