D. Terry Reitan

President and Chief Executive Officer

Named president and chief executive officer of Trust Company of America in 2005, Terry Reitan has a solid background in corporate management, finance, and information technology. With over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Reitan formerly served as president of Fiserv’s Investment Support Services (ISS) Division.

Previously, Reitan served as president and CEO of First Trust Corporation. He held a number of executive positions during his tenure at First Trust, one of the nation's largest independent trustees of self-directed individual and business retirement plans. Earlier, Reitan also held a variety of posts in finance, systems, business development, and corporate planning at Mountain Bell, AT&T, and smaller companies.

Reitan holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Nebraska, a master's degree in computer science from the University of Arizona, and a master's degree in finance from the University of Colorado. He is a Certified Public Accountant, currently serves on the Colorado Bank Board and the Association of Colorado Trust Companies, and holds a NASD Series 7 license.

 


Greg Bakke

Chief Information Officer

Greg Bakke joined Trust Company of America in April 2006 and currently serves as chief information officer.
With more than 16 years experience in information technology and systems implementation, Bakke brings strong technical expertise combined with in-depth knowledge of the business and proven ability to provide technology solutions tightly targeted to customer needs.

Most recently, he was chief technology officer at Fiserv ISS, and had previously served as vice president of systems development since 1998. At Fiserv, he managed a team of over 180 information technology professionals that developed systems designed to support registered investment advisors. Prior to Fiserv, he held a variety of positions at Standard and Poors, Compustat, and Vicorp Restaurants.

Bakke has a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Colorado and a master of science degree in computer information systems from the University of Denver.

 


Theresa Bain

Executive Vice President, Product Integration

Theresa Bain joined Trust Company of America in January 2002 and currently serves as executive vice president of product integration.

With more than 30 years of experience in financial services, Bain is responsible for managing Trust Company's large, complex projects to ensure the timely delivery of new products and services. Before accepting her strategic role, she led operations for Trust Company’s institutional advisor services, asset custody services, transfer agent, and secure information processing businesses.

In addition to her role at Trust Company, Bain also serves as president of TCAdvisors Network, an affiliated company. TCAdvisors Network is a member NASD/SIPC, is Trust Company’s broker/dealer of record, and operates the American Partnership Board – an online auction for direct participation programs.

Prior to joining Trust Company, Bain held a variety of executive positions at Fiserv Correspondent Services, Kober Financial Corporation, J.W. Gant and Associates, and SECO securities.

Bain holds the NASD Series 7, 27, and 24 licenses and is a NASD dispute resolution arbitrator.

 


Mary Coskey

Vice President, Human Resources

Mary Coskey joined Trust Company of America in November 2005 and currently serves as vice president of human resources.
With more than 25 years of experience in financial services, human resources, and employee development, Coskey is responsible for managing Trust Company's employee relations, performance management, employee development, compensation design, and staffing functions.

Prior to joining Trust Company, Coskey was senior vice president of Human Resources and Employee Development at Fiserv Investment Support Services (ISS). In this capacity, she provided staffing, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, facilities, and employee development support to nearly 1,000 employees.

She also served in a variety of executive positions, including senior vice president of Premier IRA Services, for First Trust Corporation where she managed approximately 175 employees responsible for providing services for nearly 113,000 self-directed IRAs to brokers, financial planners, and their clients.

Coskey received her bachelor of science degree in education from the State University of New York and holds certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Human Resource Certification Institute and as a Certified Compensation Professional from World at Work.

 


Greg Jones

Chief Compliance Officer

Greg Jones joined Trust Company of America in 2005 and currently serves as chief compliance officer.

Jones has over 12 years experience in the financial services industry. His areas of expertise include regulatory analysis, risk management, and compliance procedure design. He has a strong background designing the procedures and tools needed to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements.

Before joining Trust Company of America, he served as chief compliance officer at HybridTrading, LLC. Prior to this, he held a number of positions during his 10 years of service at Charles Schwab. His responsibilities have included anti-money laundering, overseeing regulatory audits, communication with the public, and the design, implementation, and testing of adherence to regulatory procedures.

Jones earned a master's degree in mineral economics from the Colorado School of Mines, and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Arizona State University. He holds the NASD Series 7, 63, 9, 10, 24, 27 and 53 licenses.

 


Al Leary

Vice President and National Sales Manager

Al Leary joined Trust Company in May 2008 and currently serves as vice president and national sales manager of the Institutional Advisor Services division.

With over 20 years of progressive experience as a sales and business development executive, Leary has an impressive background in value-add selling of technology products and systems, as well as P&L management, marketing, operations, and client services experience.

Prior to Trust Company, Al held the position of senior vice president of sales and operations at TransUnion Settlement Solutions, Inc. In that role, he provided strategic growth direction for the $50 million business unit including the creation of new business and revenue streams, operational synergies, and the execution of a new sales paradigm based on a disciplined consultative sales methodology. Prior to TUSSI, Leary held a number of executive positions including vice president and general manager of a services division of IKON Office Solutions and director of sales operations for a large geographic business unit of Xerox Corporation.

Leary has a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Georgetown University and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

 

Mark Massa

Vice President, Client Services & Operations

Mark Massa joined Trust Company of America in 2006 and currently serves as the company's vice president of client services and operations.

An executive with extensive general management, customer service, and outsourcing solution experience, Massa is a proven strategic leader who employs disciplined methods to consistently exceed customer expectations.

Over the previous 20 years, Massa has held a variety of senior leadership positions within the Fiserv Trust Group. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of product operations where he led the combined operations of Fiserv ISS (f.k.a. First Trust, Resources Trust, Lincoln Trust, The Affinity Group, Retirement Accounts, Inc., and Aspen Investment Alliance). Prior to this, he served as president of The Affinity Group, Inc. for 13 years and reported directly to the president of Fiserv Trust Group. While holding this position, he was responsible for P&L and the overall performance of the retirement plan services and outsourcing unit that served over 200,000 customer relationships.

Massa holds a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Vermont. He also participated in Fiserv's Business Unit General Management Business School and has been a member of the American Society for Quality for over fifteen years.

 


Sara Nelson

Vice President, Marketing

Sara Nelson joined Trust Company of America in 2005 and currently serves as vice president of marketing.

With over 21 years’ experience in managing, promoting, and supporting technology products; Nelson directs the company's brand management and strategic marketing efforts.

Previously, Nelson served as vice president of marketing for Fujitsu Limited’s $250 million U.S. personal and pen-based computer subsidiary. In her role, Nelson led the company’s product planning, channel marketing, marketing communications, and e-commerce groups selling into the retail, business-to-business, and specialty markets. She also served on Fujitsu’s U.S. branding committee and global product planning team.

Prior to joining Fujitsu, Nelson held a number of senior positions in product marketing, product management, project management, and customer service at Dell Computer Corporation, Compaq Computer Corporation, and ZEOS International, Ltd.

Nelson received her bachelor of science degree in engineering management from Southern Methodist University and has a master of business administration degree from Santa Clara University’s executive management program.

 


David Runberg

Chief Financial Officer

David Runberg joined Trust Company of America in 2007 and currently serves as the firm's chief financial officer.

With over 28 years of progressive experience as a financial executive, Runberg brings solid leadership in finance and accounting operations to Trust Company of America. His skill set encompasses 10 years of "Big 4" public accounting practice and 18 years of diverse financial and operational experience with both public and private companies. His areas of expertise also include mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and corporate finance.

Prior to joining Trust Company of America, Runberg served as vice president of finance and chief financial officer at Big O Tires, Inc. where he led the finance, credit, and information technology teams. In this role, Runberg managed a staff of 40 employees who served Big O Tires and its affiliates, as well as 550 franchised retail tire and automotive service centers located throughout the United States. Additionally, he directed numerous business valuation and franchisee financing projects.
Prior to joining Big O Tires, Runberg held senior level finance officer positions at INVESCO Private Capital and Gillett Holdings.

Runberg holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Colorado, is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, and holds the NASD Series 27 license.
