Debbie Wapensky joined Trust Company of America (TCA) in March of 2014 and serves as the Chief Financial Officer.
With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, she began her career in public accounting and maintains an active CPA license. At TCA she is responsible for all financial activities including Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Portfolio Management and Settlement functions. The CFO also serves as Chief Security Officer for the organization.
Prior to TCA Debbie served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Vectra Bank Colorado. She has also worked for Bank of America, Providian Financial, Ernst and Young and Coopers and Lybrand. Her areas of expertise include capital, balance sheet and liquidity management, risk management and oversight, profitability analysis, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, financial planning and analysis and international business management. She was recognized by the Denver Business Journal as CFO of the Year for her work at Vectra Bank in 2008.
She attended the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado and has a B.S. in Accounting and Finance and has a Master’s in Business Administration from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at NYU.
