Kathleen Asack
Regional Vice President of Sales – Northeast

Kathleen Asack joined Trust Company of America in 2011 with 19 years of sales experience in the financial services industry. As regional sales vice president, she is responsible for sales efforts in the Northeast territory.
Before joining Trust, Ms. Asack was responsible for securing new RIA relationships at Charles Schwab Institutional, where she demonstrated expertise in business development, sales, and account management. Prior to working at Charles Schwab, she held positions as VP of sales and director of managed accounts at Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services, where she worked in securing new RIA relationships, strategic business planning, and education and training.
Ms. Asack received a bachelor of arts in economics and minor in political science at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Her sales training experience includes Achieve Global (PSS), Miller Heiman, Cannon, and Richardson. Ms. Asack holds NASD Series 7 & 63 licenses.

James Collins joined Trust Company of America in 2011 with over a decade of experience in the financial services industry. As regional sales vice president at Trust, he is responsible for the institutional sales efforts in the Great Lakes territory.
Prior to coming aboard with Trust, Mr. Collins worked at LPL Financial where he was a top new recruiter, consistently transitioning $10M in GDC. As a member of LPL’s Regional Director Steering Committee, he advised senior management on ways to improve advisor recruiting. Mr. Collins has also held positions at Schwab Advisor Services, Morgan Stanley and UBS, where he excelled at relationship-building and strategic market development.
Mr. Collins graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor of science degree. He is a member of Notre Dame Club of Detroit. Mr. Collins has completed the Miller Heiman sales training.

Melissa Gaustad joined Trust Company of America in October of 2010 with over 20 years of sales experience in the financial services industry. As regional vice president, she is responsible for the institutional sales efforts in the Heartland territory.
Prior to joining Trust, Ms. Gaustad was responsible for the LPL Financial relationship at New York Life Insurance Company, the firm’s largest client. She was also responsible for the advisor acquisition program at AXA Advisors, LLC, Western Division; and played a major role in selling the mission, vision and strategy of HomeServices of America Lending, when it was launched in 2007. Prior to that, she served at US Bancorp Investments/US Bancorp Insurance Services, where she played a major role in transitioning a broker-dealer from third party status to in-house.
Ms. Gaustad received her bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Minnesota. A member of the USBII Board of Directors, she also serves as a Menttium Mentor and is a frequent speaker and presenter at industry events. Ms. Gaustad holds the NASD Series 7, 24, 66, Life and Health licenses.
Douglas Johnston

Douglas Johnston joined Trust Company of America in 2011 with over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, and a focus on best practices, technology, capital markets, broker transitions, alternative investments, managed accounts, and structured products. As regional sales vice president, he is responsible for sales in the West territory.
Mr. Johnston’s experience includes managing the custodial sales unit for the Western US at Merrill Lynch, where he developed new business and expanded the Merrill Lynch brand. Mr. Johnston is also a founding partner of two investment organizations concentrating on RIA, breakaway broker, family office, and financial advisory channels.
Mr. Johnston received his degree from California State University, Sacramento and has earned the NASD Series 7, 63, and 65.

Jane LeGette joined Trust Company of America in 2012 with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She brings a unique blend of wealth management, brokerage, banking, and insurance experience with emphasis on the acquisition, development, and retention of high net worth clients and institutional firms. Ms. LeGette is regional sales vice president of the Southeast territory.
Before joining Trust, Ms. LeGette was director, wealth management southeast market circle for RSM McGladrey where she was responsible for all aspects of the RIA business. Prior to McGladrey, she held senior positions at Northern Trust Bank, Fidelity Investments, Ernst & Young, and Bank of America.
Ms. LeGette received her bachelor of arts degree in communications from Rollins College, and holds NASD Series 7, 63 & 65, and life & health licenses. She sits on the National Board of Directors of the Executive Women’s Golf Association, Foundation.

Jeffrey Speight joined Trust Company of America in 2011 with 24 years of experience in financial services, and expertise in B2B sales, team supervision, project management and retail investment sales. As regional sales vice president, he is responsible for sales efforts in the Central South territory.
Before joining Trust, Mr. Speight worked as a business development officer at Schwab, where he played a key role in closing large accounts. His use of the Miller Heiman approach enables him to skillfully consult with prospective clients about emerging technology and platform offerings.
Mr. Speight graduated from the University of Tulsa with a bachelor of science in business administration with a focus in finance. He holds the Series 7, 8 and 63 licenses and has been a CFP certificant since 2001.
